The Great Basement Remodel

Here's a collection of pictures showing the progress of the remodeling on our basement. The work is being done by Greg Willey Remodeling.

January 18

Before the start of the remodel, we cleared out the space

January 22

Some materials were delivered.

And of course we came up with a plan:

First the outside walls were framed in:

And interior walls were built

A Dumpster was delivered to hold debris from the project

February 4

The egress window was installed

And the tub was installed

The new floor in the bathroom has been poured

It sure takes a lot of tools to remodel a basement

Next, the duct-work was installed

Cable and electric lines were run

The outside walls were insulated

Wallboard was delivered. We were amazed to note that it was possible to get a 16' piece of wallboard down the basement stairs without breaking it.

And wallboard installation began

More drywalling was installed, including the ceiling.
