Hidden Treasure in Lincoln Park

Last weekend I discovered a hidden treasure in Lincoln Park, the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool. It is just off the southwest corner of Fullerton and Cannon Drive. Nancy and Harry were visiting and we took a detour from Lincoln Park Zoo and Lincoln Park Conservatory. We were lucky that a very knowledgeable docent was on hand to give us a private tour.

More on Niki de Saint Phalle

There are three more Niki pieces outside of Garfield Park. This one is in the Lincoln Park Conservatory.

Concrete buildings by Lake Michigan see a lot of wear and tear from rain, snow, and wind. Our building is about 37 years old. We are undergoing major concrete repair and window resealing. The project began in April and will finish in November.
