This is where I ate dinner when I was in Grand Marais:
Angry Trout
Harbor Inn
Gunflint Tavern
Angry Trout again
Victoria's Bakehouse
All very good, especially if you like salmon and trout.
The other big event during my stay was a concert on the first Saturday night. The owner of the Antler Inn tipped me off ahead of time so I could get a ticket before I came.
The concert was put on by the North Shore Music Association during the Grand Marais Arts Festival. This is what their web site said:
Nachito Herrera and Puro Cubano

AT THE ARROWHEAD CENTER
FOR THE ARTS
Don't miss this highly acclaimed Cuban pianist who dances across his 88 keys with inventive playing and sizzling tempos. With his 3-member band, Puro Cubano, the music is explosive, dynamic, romantic, jaw-droppingly good. Nachito has no limits as a pianist, so prepared to be amazed.

It was a GREAT concert. If you are ever in St. Paul you should try to catch his show.
