This is the story of Kendi Weaver's life from when he was kidnapped by slavers through the beginning of his training with the Children of Irfan. A coming-of-age story with a murder mystery. A quick, fun, read.
Words Fail Me: What Everyone Who Writes Should Know About Writing by Patricia T. O'Conner.
An interesting read. But probably best read at a slower pace, instead of in large gulps -- everything ran all together. I liked the "duck goes into a hardware store" joke.
